About Fire Mountain Arts Council

FMAClogoThe Fire Mountain Arts Council (FMAC) is proud to serve as the cornerstone for arts and culture in the small mountain community of Morton, Washington. Working primarily as a volunteer organization with minimal paid staff and contractors, FMAC creates and delivers extraordinary theatre and education programs to engage community members and visitors of all ages and backgrounds as audience members and participants. FMAC is proud to support three cultural venues: the Roxy Theater, BCJ Gallery and the Tiller Arts Center.

The Roxy Theater is the cultural heart of downtown Morton. Built in 1937, this beautifully renovated 200-seat theater offers a wide variety of performances, concerts, lectures and children’s programs, as well as movies year round for the benefit of both residents and visitors. Opening its doors in 2004, the Roxy brings local, regional and national performers to the stage. Through the Roxy community members and visitors alike enrich their lives through theatre arts.

facebookThe Barbara Clevenger Johnson Gallery proudly displays the artistry of established and emerging regional artists working in fine arts and fine crafts. The gallery offers a variety of unique items for sale. Stop by and choose from quality paintings, photography, basketry, fiber art, jewelry, etchings, pottery and sculpture.

facebookThe Tiller Arts Center was acquired in 2010 with help from the Tiller family. Next door to the Roxy, this venue provides a space compatible with the Roxy performances as well as complimentary events and activities. The Tiller Arts Center offers rental space for weddings, reunions, social events and meetings in the upstairs classic ballroom, while the basement contains kitchen facilities and a costuming area for Roxy Theater performances. Weekly dance, voice and exercise classes also use the facility.
