World Dance Festival

Regional dance troupes perform. A lively and inspiring evening of dance styles from around the world–Middle Eastern to Mexican Folk to Western Line.

OnStage Dance-A-Thon Fundraiser

At the Tiller Arts Center
April 21, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Admission: $5 per person

Dance all 12 hours, only dance to certain songs, or just watch. Choose your own way to dance! Come out and support the Kids of OnStage Children’s Theatre Education Program in their Spring production, at the Tiller Arts Center in Morton WA. Lots of music, refreshments, and of course DANCING!

Children’s Dance Recital

June 2 at 3 p.m.

Children and adults culminate their year long classes in a variety of dance instruction, including creative movement, tap, jazz and middle eastern dance, in a recital of choreographed pieces. This year’s theme is “Let’s go Traveling!”

All Day Sing – Shape Note Singing

At the Tiller Arts Center
August 25, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Admission by donation

Shape notes are a music notation designed to facilitate congregational and community singing. The notation, introduced in 1801, became a popular teaching device in American singing schools. Shapes were added to the note heads in written music to help singers find pitches within major and minor scales without the use of more complex information found in key signatures on the staff.

Membership Appreciation Gala Dinner

September 22 at 5:00 p.m.

Member Appreciation Night welcomes Fire Mountain Arts Council members to an evening of live entertainment,food, and a bit of business. Followed by free tickets to the featured movie!  Join Fire Mountain Arts Council at the door, at the BCJ Gallery, or by mail. Member dues for 2018-2019 are $50, and includes two complimentary $10 ticket vouchers.

Autumn Music Fest

Autumn Music Fest brings soloists and ensembles from area churches and choirs together for an inspirational musical program. Sponsored by DeVaul Publishing.

“Thriller” OnStage Halloween Flashmob

October 31, 6-8 pm

For a donation of AT LEAST $20, Morton city limits residents can have a flashmob of dancers perform the Thriller dance on your lawn on Halloween evening. Performances will start happening around town at approx. 6 pm. Command Performance – USO Show

November 10 at 7 p.m.
Tickets: $15 General Audience, $10 Veterans, $7 Students/Children

Celebrate and honor our Veterans with 1940’s USO-style entertainment:  skits, vocalists, dancers, plenty of laughs, and dancing to the Sound of Swing Big Band.

12th Annual Festival of Trees

At BCJ Gallery and the Roxy.

Visit the Living Nativity at the Roxy at 5:30PM, where carols are sung and the Christmas story is told.  KIDS:  Arrive at 5:15 to get a costume.  Be Mary, Joseph, an angel, shepherd or king for a night!
